Bunny’s Trip to Germany 9/2009

Bunny enjoyed her travels in Germany. In addition to attending the BLH and working sheep, we managed to visit some beautiful places along the Rhine and Mosel River. Bunny was welcomed everywhere we went, from wonderful restaurants to boats to ice cream cafes. We were accompanied by my friend Julie Richards Mostosky of 24K photo. Julie and I will be collaborating on an article and photos covering this year’s BLH. Julie is the proud owner of Bunny’s half sister sired by Sherry and out of Julie’s  Faye v. Kirschental.
Some of the nicer photos in Bunny’s album are courtesy of Julie, for which Bunny is grateful.

The first group of photos are of Bunny at Castle Schoenberg, in Oberwesel.
Bunny enjoyed the Mosel River Cruise between Bacharach and St Goar. When we docked, we stopped at a bakery café with none other than… BUNNY shaped cookies.
Bunny gave them two paws up!
At night, Bunny was very tired!
En route to Bernkastel on the Mosel, we happened on a lovely nature preserve area. Bunny had a great time running loose and playing with her Frisbee.
In Bernkastel, we had a busy day. Bunny hiked with us to the castle ruins high above the village, she rested under the table while we ate lunch in a lovely restaurant on the river. The family who owns the restaurant owns vineyards and produces excellent Riesling wine. I couldn’t resist taking a bottle home. Bunny stuck to the water bowl the waitress brought her!
Our recreational day passed quickly and then we were off to Marion and Karl’s Village of Shweinfurt, for the BLH.

The BLH was 3 full days of super work by the best of Germany’s Shepherds and their dogs. (Bunny has asked me not to clog up her album with BLH tales, but those interested can look for the upcoming article!) Here is Bunny Herding in Schweinfurt
Bunny would like to thank Barbra Huettl for her hospitality in Oberwesel. Bunny also Thanks Alexander Fuller for allowing her to work his flock and for going out of his way to help, and she thanks Karl- Heinz Kohlhepp aka “Bobby” for his aid when she got into trouble! (Bunny is sometimes a naughty girl!)
One last picture! --- At the Italian Ice Cream Cafe, Bunny was a celebrity.  She loved her ice cream topped with a cookie!!!
